f - . • ■A A meeting of the Trustees and District Committee members of the Rappahannock Library, to which all interested persons were Invited, was held * Friday evening, January 10 in the Library. Mr. William > M. Carrigan, Chairman of the ;■ Board, presided. A financial report was made > by the Treasurer, Mrs. B. M. Miller. Also a report on new books purchased and received by donations. The work of cataloging and making of necessary cards is going on under the direction of Mrs. R. E. Patzig. Programs by each District Committee are to be presented with the first one tentatively planned for March 13th. i* There was discussion of the plans for landscaping of the .grounds to be done in the spring. Mr. Carrigan showed slides of monuments and other points of interest in America's North West. Several books now appearing on the Best Sellers lists are In the Library; "The Shoes of the Fisherman" by Morris West and "Rascal" by Sterling North. Also Edna Ferber's absorbing new novel, "A Kind of Magic , and "JFK, the Man and the Myth", by Victor Lasky J A large group of the popular {Nancy Drew Mystery Stories for Juveniles by. Carolyn Keene are also available for our young readers. Ij Library hours - Wednesday afternoons and Saturday morn ings.
