Feeder Calf meeting to be held at Natural Bridge February 16th and 17th. Also the group delegated J. jRodes Brown to be their sale representative on the Virginia Beef Cattlemen’s tour of Ohio feed lots in March. Much concern was expressed over the amount of beef being imported in the U. S. in competition with domestic beef. These imports are felt to be detrimental to prices for finished cattle which is a blow to our customer buyers and could mean reduced prices of feeder calves. Instructions were given to your county agent to get complete factual data on this situation, to present these facts to feeder calf groups In this immediate area, and at the state meeting.
