A three-vehicle accident occurred Sunday afternoon about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Routes 522 and 211atMassie8 Corner. According to Trooper Paul Dicks, L. C. Groover of Castl©. ton driving a 1963 Covair, was struck head on by Barbara Baker of Silver Spring, Md. operating a 1962 Mercury She made a left turn across the highway into the path of the Groover car. The impact of the collision pushed the Baker vehicle into a third car which was following it. An unidentified passenger in the Baker car sustained slight injury, contusion of the right forehead.
Fox Drag Race
Set This Saturday
Madison County’s annual Fox Drag Race will be held this Saturday, Feb. 8, starting at 10 a.m. on the Kelso farm near Novum, weather permitting. This event was postponed from Christmas week because of forbidding weather conditions on the originally scheduled date. All dogs to participate should be on hand by 8:30 a.m. for numbering. A Horn Blowing Contest will follow. The general public is invited
