An Apple Pie?
Miss Susie Jenkins of Sperryville was the winner in the annual Apple Pie Baking Contest held March 20 at Rappahannock County High School. Miss Jenkins is a ninth grade student.
Winners from the school con tests will go to Winchester to participate in the apple pie baking contest held in connection with the Apple Blossom Festival and will ride in the parade. The festival is held three days, April 30 and May 1 and 2. Other contestants in the local bake off were Misses Merle Dulaney, Alice Jenkins, Joyce Dodson, and Ann Jenkins. Second place went to Miss Joyce Dodson, Amissville and Ann Jenkins, Washington, won third.
