Of PTA Sets Meet
The annual meeting of the Shenandoah District of the Virginia Congress of Parents and Teachers will be held at Pleasant Valley Elementary School in Rockingham County on Friday, April 3rd. School officials, parents and teachers representing Parent-Teacher Associations in Clarke, Frederick, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren Counties and from the City of Harrisonburg will travel to the new elementary school for dinner at 5:00 p.m. and for the general meeting beginning at 6;00 p.m. Resolutions from iocal units and delegates will be presented and acted upon during the business meeting. Reports of unit activities and accomplishments for this past year will be given by area council presidents. District committee chairmen will report tc the assembly and recipients of Life Memberships in the Virginia Congress will be recognized. The program will consist oi discussion groups which will outline the 1964-1966 Virginia Action Program centered around the theme, 'Growing Up in Virginia'*. Personnel from Madison College participating in the presentation ol the program will be Dr. Mae Kelly, Associate Professor oi Education; Mrs. Joe Driver, Associate Professor of Home Economics and Specialist in Child Development and Family Living; Miss Frances Grove, Assistant Professor of Art; and Mfs. Z. S. Dickerson, Assistant Professor of Education Nursery School Teacher Department.
