The Easter Sunday guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams, Jr. were Mr. and Mrs. Willis Allsberry and son James, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Cook and family of Flint Hill. Also Charlott Aylor Mrs. Russell Aylor and children Monica and Neal, Mr. and Mrs. Allsberry also visited their grandchildren Monica and Neal Aylor at Piedmont Farm.
Fort Riley, Kan. -- Army Pvt. Richard D. Lewis, son of Charlie C. Lewis, Sperryville, Va., and other members of the 1st Infantry Division are participating in a two week counter-insurgency field training exercise near Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. The exercise is scheduled to end March 30. Men of the 1st Battalion of the division’s 18th Infantry are playing the part of military and police forces conducting counter-guerrilla warfare against guerrilla enemies of the lawful government of the imaginary country of Woodland. Other 1st Division units representing the insurgent enemy forces of Woodland are attempting to destroy the republic.
Lewis is assigned to the 1st Battalion’s Company Cregu larly station at Fort Riley, Kan.
