Library Lines
We welcome back Miss Josephine and Miss Anna May Stambaugh, joint Librarians, who spent the last few months in Florida. The Library was kept open in their absence by Mrs. B. M. Miller and Mrs. R. E. Patzig. Library hours continue to be Saturday morning from 10 until 12 and Wednesday afternoon from 2 until 5. The Board is gratified by the two generous offers of boxwood received to date for the Library grounds and work of landscaping will begin soon under the supervision of Mr. William M. Carrigan. Any offers of assistance in this project will be gratefully received.

Miss Ruth Menefee and her sister, Mrs. V. M. Lewis enter tained at a luncheon Wednesday when their guests included Mrs. Roy Swindler, Mrs. A. L. Swindler, Mrs. Randolph Devers, Mrs. Della Howard, Miss Irene Keyser, Mrs. G. M. Black, Mrs. Jack Weaver, Mrs. Downing Wood, Mrs. George Hawkins and Mrs. B. M. Varner. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and family of Hamilton spent the Easter holiday with Mr. Brown’s parents, Mr. and Mrs J. Rodes Brown at Rock Villa Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thorton and Jock Brown joined Mr. and Mrs. Brown and guests for dinner on Sunday. Mrs. Gordon Payne of Madi son and Charlottesville spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Johnson. She will return to Charlottes ville to resume her classes at the University of Va. on Wednesday after a week's vaca tion at her home in Madison. Mrs. Jack Stint who is spend ing some time with her mother Mrs. William Williamson was a Sunday caller at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown. Elder T. E. Major of Front Royal was a caller last Saturday of Mrs. Harvey Daily. Mrs. Florence Johnson of Woodville was a dinner guest on Thursday of Mrs. Daily. Her overnight guest Saturday was Newborn Hatcher of Lovettsville who was guest speaker Sunday at the Luray Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Daily attended the service and was a dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Painter. M/Sgt A. Lee Swindler, Jr. who is spending two weeks at Ft. Belvoir, S/Sgt. and Mrs. Jimmie Swindler and theix three children spent the Easter holiday with Mr. anc Mrs. A. Lee Swindler.
