Spring Sprung A
Fast One On Us!
March roared to a finish in the best lion fashion with snow and winds, and April Fools Day was a real joke with more of the same. Monday morning R a p p a hannock awoke to find from six to eight inches of snow, which closed schools for the day. That night the temperature was recorded as 11, but no damage was done to the fruit crops, according to local growers.
Little Melody Green's re. action to the whole thing, after she had been out to get the newspaper from the box and returned with a bootfull of snow, was 'Don't tell me any. thing about spring." Look on the bright sides Imagine how much accumulation we would have by now if the ground had been hard frozen and the temperatures continuously low.
