In connection with this year’s April Cancer Crusade, this newspaper is cooperating with the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society to bring more life-saving cancer education into local homes. The ACS has launched a “Tell Your Neighbor" campaign designed to reach every American family with a leaflet, distributed free by Crusade volurv teers, titled "The Answers to These Questions May Help Save Your Life." The Rappahannock News Will publish two of these questions each week, over the next several weeks, to test the average citizen’s awareness of the personal' respons ibilitJTf actor .in protecting one’s self ahd family against the disease. The full leaflet covers how people can best protect themselves against cancer, describes signs and symptoms, tells what kind of cancer is mounting most rapidly, which are the worst killers; and briefly covers some recent scientific and medical advances.
