Vehicles Totaled in
Two Collisions'
Robert Milton Johnson of Mt. Crawford totally wrecked his 63 Chevrolet on the Thornton River bridge- jn Sperryville Tuesday night. According to Trooper P. P. Dicks, the vehicle skidded on the wet pavement, hit the right side of the bridge, ricochetted across the road, struck the left of bridge and careened back to the right and struck the bridge again before coming to a halt. Johnson was charged with reckless driving. Early Sunday morning George Cook of Amissville struck a cow and killed it on Route 522 a mile and a half south of Flint Hill. The animal belonged to Ashby Grimsley. It jumped from the bank into the path of the car. Coolis 59 Ford was considered a total loss, according to Trooper Dicks. He received multiple lacerations of the face from the broken windshield and was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
