New Naturalist At

'Shenandoah Park

Dan M. Welch is a new Park Naturalist at Shenandoah, R. Taylor Hoskins, Superintendent, announced today. Mr. Welch transferred to this area from Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Boulder City, Nevada. Mr. Welch is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and received his BA degree in Geology from Emory University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. His military service was with the U.S. Air Force between 1955 and 1957. His assignment to Shenandoah places him as the third permanent member of the Interpretive Division's staff. Mr. and Mrs. Welch are affiliated with the Methodist Church and with their young son, Dannie, are presently residing on The Circle at the Headq uarters Residential Area.
