Seven members of the Flint Hill 4-H Club taking the horse project went to the Madison 4-H Horse Show Saturday. They were Eleanor Rector, Susan Dodson, Wayne Sutphio, George Powers, Joel Sutphin, Nelson Putnam and Earl Putnam, Jr. The next 4-H horse show will be held near Culpeper on May 16. Rappahannock 4-H members in the Horse and Pony Project may contact our office for the rules and regulations. Several classes for hunt ers, western, pony, pleasure and stake events make up the twenty classes in the show. If we have no entries from this county, perhaps a large group can attend as observers. The Sears pig projects are about completing a full year. Reports are that James C. Jenkins' sow had twelve pigs, ten of which are gilts. Linda Jenkins' sow had eleven pigs but the sow was not a good momma. Janet Yates reported nine healthy pigs living as did James R. Jenkins. Jean Sisk reports all ten of her pigs still living and very frisky. These pig projects were scored Tuesday by W. R. Owings of Madison County. Results and announcement of county winners will be made in August.
