An important joint meeting of the Washington Volunteer Fire Company, Rappahannock Rescue Squad and Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Company is scheduled for Monday, May 4 at $ p.m. at the Fire House* All members are urged to be present.

Methodist Meeting

In Flint Hill

Dr. Hugh M. Burleigh, District Superintendent of the Charlottesville District of the Methodist Church was guest minister at the Flint Hill Methodist Church last Sunday. After the service members of the Rappahannock Methodist Charge gathered at the Flint Hill Fire Hall for a covered dish dinner followed by the fourth quarterly conference which is the organizational business meeting of the church. During the conference a total of ninety-six offices were filled through unanimous election. A charge budget of $6,800 was accepted for the coming year. This represents an increase in world service giving and Increased expenditure for educational work. In other action the conference voted to request the Bishop to return the Reverend James Grimmer as pastor and Dr. Burleigh as District Superintendent for another year. They also voted to continue with their present style of bulletin rather than to change to a style with a sketch <of each church on it. The date of the next quarterly conference was set for July 26, 1964 at Willis Chapel Methodist Church.
