the show and we soon forgot about the disinterested bass. On this particular morning they seemed to prefer sunface lures and so did we. The rock bass, sometimes called red eye, share our West srn Virginia streams with the smallmouth. They grow to 11/2 to 2 pounds but die average size is slightly larger than a ?ood bluegill or sunfish. Not only is the rock bass capable of salvaging a smallmouth trip—he is worthy of a trip planned for him alone.
