a goodly number of the 171 charter members will be there to enjoy it. The Society is still asking, and will continue to ask for help from any and all people who have information, even though it is sketchy, on the locations and identifications of old houses, cemeteries, mills, churches and schools, covered bridges, Indian trails, and any other historic material, particularly on the first families here. We would like to bring our membership up to 200 before Christmas. You can join by writing the Treasurer, Mr. Robert Brown, Washington, Va. The membership is $3.00 per person, or family for $5.00. Children may join for $1.00.

Opening Hunt Saturday

The Rappahannock Hunt Club will open the fall season with a meet Saturday, October 30 at Stonehaven, the farm of Mr. and Mrs. George Muth at Woodville. The opening meet is scheduled for 10 a.m. Mr. and Mrs. Muth will entertain with a hunt breakfast at four o’clock in the afternoon.

Hallowe’en Curfew

The Washington Town Council has asked parents to voluntarily have their children off the streets by 9:30 p.m. on Hallowe'en. The council asked also that adults and children over 12 not wear masks.

Game Night in Flint Hill

Flint Hill Fire Company an nounces that a “Game Night* will be held at the fire hall there Saturday, Oct. 30 beginning at 7:30 p.m. There will be entertainment for all ages and refreshments will be served. Admission is 25 cents.
