Charles W. Larimer
Lt. Col. Charles Wesley Larimer, US A rmy (Ret) of Amissville and Arlington died Oct. 25, 1965 in Walter Reed Hospital. He was 50 years of age, and a native of Iowa. Col. Larimer joined the Army in 1937. He served with Geu George Patton’s Third Army in Europe and was twice awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He also served for 18 months in the Korean War. He retired in 1957 and joined the Foreign Service Technology Agence Center. He resigned from this position in 1964 because of ill health. Mr. Larimer was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Macon-Ware Lodge 192 Falls Church. He was member of the Kenna Shriner Temple, Alexandria. He is survived by his wife Bernice A. Larimer and two sons, Douglas B. at home and Edmon B. of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Anderson of Albert City, Iowa; and four brothers, Louis Larimer, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Earl Larimer, Wilmer, Minn., Merle Larimer, Waterloo, Iowa and Robert Larimer, Lewiston, Minn. A funeral service will be held today, Thursday, at 1 p. m. at the Ft. Myer chapel Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. Dewey D. Hudson, Herndon Hudson and Ira Fincham attend ed a funeral service for Aubrey Wood Hudson at Mt. Comfort Cemetery near Penn T)aw on Monday.
