Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Latham, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. James Smith of Chevy Chase, Md. left Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Milton Miller in East Hampton, Conn. They will return to their home tomorrow. Mrs. G. E. Doyle accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Michael Todd of Fairfax to Lynchburg Sunday.
Mrs. Sarah Latham, her mother, Mrs. C. C. Cockerill Mrs. John Peck, Mrs. James Powell and Mrs. Harold Cockerill all of Herndon, were luncheon guests Thursday at Panorama. Herbert Scott of Richmond was a visitor Saturday of the Rev. and Mrs. Fletcher Osborne. Weekend guests of the Osbornes were Mr. and Mrs. James Osborne and children of Newport News. Friday the Rev. and Mrs. S. W. T. Hed$200.
One lucky student, Bonnie North, won $10 in a 'mystery drawing*. RCHS wishes to thank all those who helped to make this year's Magazine Campaign a success.
Friday, October 22, the SCA held its “Christmas Party in October* to raise money fora Christmas party for children in a school in India. Students came into the gym and hung gifts of money in brightly colored envelopes on a Christmas tree. Page Moffett, SCA President, read traditional Christmas scriptures and led the student body in prayer. Then the choir sang several Christmas carols. After the ceremonious Dart of the program was over, students enjoyed refreshments--apple cider and cookies, made by the Home FJc. Classes. The total gifts amounted to $72.80 which will be sent to the Indian school on behalf of the students of RCHS. Several Juniors took PSAT tests Monday, October 18. These tests are given prior to the College Board Exams. RCHS was again visited last week by two former students - Patrick Alther of the Madison Extension of the University of Virginia and Linda Beahm of Monroe College. Tuesday, October 26, was Club Day at RCHS. This year students may belong to only one club sipcp we,will only have one club day per month. Clubs that have been formed so far are; FFA, FHA, PEP Varsity, Library, Annual Staff 4-H, and 8th Grade Glee Club. Mysterious people?? ??? is a tall brown-haired Junior who is quite active in basketball and baseball. ???’s nickname is “Click". La^t week’s Mysterious Pepson was Stephanie Aylor.
