For Attorney General Attorney General Robert Y. Button has held this post since 1962. He was a member of the State Senate from 1946-196) and past chairman of the Senate Committee of Welfare; member of the Senatorial com mittees on Finance; General Laws; Privileges and Elections; and Counties, Cities, and Townsjmember andpast chain man of the Virginia Advisory Legislative Council. He has served as a member of the Commission on Public Education, Commission Potomac River, and is an original member of the Virginia Parole Board. He was born in Culpeper November 2, 1899, was educated in Culpeper public schools, and obtained his law? degree from the University of Virginia. He is a lawyer, farmer, director of Mutual Fire Insurance Co. of Loudoun, Merchants Grocery of Culpeper, Second National Bank of Culpeper/ and Central j. Hardware Company. He is a trustee of the Jamestown Corp; formerly a member of the Council of the Virginia State Bar; member of the Baptist Church, Masons, Rotary Club, Commonwealth Club, and Virginia State and American Bar Associations.
