The church was decorated with white gladioli, chrysanthemums and lighted candelabra.
Miss Sandra Rowzie of Amissville presented a program of nuptial music including traditional wedding marches. Given in mariiage by her father, the bride wore a white brocade sheath with matching jacket. Her veil fell from a white satin crown and she carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid from which fell satin streamers. Miss Laura McLean of Amissville was maid of honor. She was dressed in a pale; blue wool suit and had a cor-; sage of pink rosebuds. Levi Atkins, Jr., Amissville, acted as best man and ushers were Gregory Cooper andDewayne Payne. A reception followed in the fellowship hall of the church. Mrs. Robert McLean, Amissville, served the tiered wedding cake and Mrs. Jack Dennis, Alexandria and Mrs. Charlie Priest, Amissville, presided at the punch bowl. After a southern trip, Mr. and Mrs. Payne are living with the bridegroom’s parents, where he is employed in dairying. Mrs. Payne is attending Culpeper County High School. Mr. Payne was graduated from that school in 1965.
