1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup nut meat 1 bag chocolate bits (6 oz) Melt shortening, add sugar, add eggs (one at a time) and than add all other ingredients. Bake in a 15 1/2 x 10* pan for 25 or 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett is staying with Mrs. Wade Massie. Jr. until another apartment there is ready for occupation. Mrs. Elmo Flynt and her mother Mrs. Alice Bond of Den ton, Texas spent Friday in Winchester. Mrs. Melvin Douglas of New York City, was a guest of Miss Helen Fuller for the weekend.
