Mrs. Nellie Graves of Amissville sustained severe injuries in a two-vehicle collision Saturday, December 4 and remains a patient in Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. The accident occurred at 2 p.m. on Route 522 north of Huntly. She was a passenger in a car with her husband Fayette Graves. According to Trooper W. A. Buntin, Mr. Graves was driving his 64 Mercury Comet enroute to Front Royal when Melvin Jordan of Huntly operating a 1961 Pontiac heading south on 522 lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the Graves car. Jordan ran off the right of the road, careened back across to the left and skidded sideways into the front of the Graves vehicle, said Mr. Buntin. Mrs. Graves was admitted to Warren Memorial Hospital Front Royal with a broken right foot, lacerations of the face and four dislocated teeth. She was later transferred to the hospital in Warrenton. Mr. Graves received lacera tions of the mouth, abrasions of the right hand and was x-rayed for chest injuries. He was treated and released from Warren Memorial Hospi tal. Jordan was admitted to Warren Memorial Hospital with lacerations of the right temple and possible back injury. Mr. and Mrs. Graves were taken to the hospital by the Front Royal Rescue Squad and the Flint Hill Squad took Jordan to the hospital.
