The basketball season started officially December 3 for the Panthers and JV of Rappahannock County High School when they met Montevideo and were defeated by a slim four points. This was the first league game, but a non-district game was played with Madison County High School on December 1. Rappahannock edged a one point victory over the Madison Mountaineers. Ronnie Pullen was high man in both games with 12 and 24 points respectively. In the foregoing games Rappahannock JV lost to Montevid eo by one point and was defeat ed by Madison with a 20-11 score. Scores were Montevideo 40 - Rappahannock 36; Madison 53 - Rappahannock 54. Tuesday Rappahannock bowed to Page County High with a score of 66 for Page, 49 for Rappahannock. Kent Henry was high scorer with 20 points to his credit. The local JV also was defeated and the final score was 26 for Page and 21 forRappahanijock.
