343 X-Rays In Rappk
A total of 9265 chest x-rays were taken during the fiveweek period the Health Department mobile x-ray unit was in the area, it was reported by the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia. In Rappahannock County a total of 343 persons appeared at the mobile x-ray unit. A break down of localities follows: Sperryville 98; Washington 51; Rappahannock Manufacturing plant, Flint Hill 144; Amissville 50. Either the private physician or the public health nurse will notify all those who need to have a larger film taken and an appointment will be made for them at the Health Department’s next x-ray clinic. Sometimes the person moved while the picture was being made, and these people will also be asked to get another free film. Anyone who has not been contacted by the end of six weeks from the time they had an x-ray on the mobile unit can conclude that their film appeared to be free from lung abnormalities.
