Mrs. Edwin Gibson

Mrs. Beulah McCandless Gib son of Culpeper widow of Major Edwin H. Gibson, died Friday, April 15, in a Fredericksburg hospital. Major Gibson was a former assistant attorney general of Virginia and a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing Culpeper and Rappahannock counties. Mrs. Gibson * has been a frequent visitor in the county. She is survived by three sons, Jonathan C. of Chicago, Edwin A. and William J. Gibson, of Fredericksburg; one daughter; Mrs. Frederick Dorwart of Muskogee, Okla; one sister, Miss Martha McCandless of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was held Monday at 4 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, the Rev. Thomas G. Faulkner, Jr., of St. George’s Episcopal Church, Fredericksburg, Officiating,
