f While observing National Library Week the Library Board Reports some of the progress •made in physical improvefments to the Rappahannock Library along with its other activities. : During the Spring of 1965 the balcony was finished. This affords additional book shelves, storage space and an area for research and quiet reading. The lawn was landscaped and shrubbery planted. A set of Science reading books was added, in memory of Mrs. Grace Massie. The Virginia Museum Artmobile was sponsored and exhibited on the grounds. The Home Demonstration Clubs assisted in the 4th of July picnic supper for the benefit of the Library. A Powder Room was installed and equipped, with septic tank, etc. The Library was the setting for the Arts and Crafts Show, as well as other cultural programs and exhibits. A successful Book Fair was held, prior to Christmas. We are continuing to purchase books and now have 5,200 catalogued volumes on the shelves. The number of readers who avail themselves of the free services of the Library has increased appreci ably. But in order to keep up the present schedule we shall have to ask for volunteers who are willing to give two hours every two weeks to work in the Library. Present Schedule Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 3 to 5 p. m. Saturday - 10 a. m. to 12 noon
