Deer Cause Three
Traffic Crashes
Though hunting season is not officially open yet, deer seem to be in abundance, for during the week-end three traffic crashes occurred involving deer. Charles Ranny Musick of Hampton, Va. operating a 66 Dodge, apparently swerved to miss a deer crossing Route 211 just west of Washington and crashed into a bridge abutment. He was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal by Rappahannock Rescue Squad where he was treated and released, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. On Route 211 three miles west of Sperryville a deer was struck Saturday night. Larry Harding Spiess of Vint Hill Farms Station opera* ing a 66 Ford Mustang struck the animal damaging his vehi cle in the amount of $150. According to Trooper J. B. Willis, Mr. Spiess was not injured.
