ed by veterans Administration pharmacies on prescription of a doctor of medicine or osteopathy who Is licensed to practice his profession and to prescribe drugs or medicines In a state, territory, or possession of the United States and the District of Columbia. These veterans will be furnished prescribed drugs and medicines only from out patient clinics which authorize fee-basia care. When oxygen Is prescribed, an authorization wfll be Issued to an appropriate private supplier for direct delivery to the veteran. The authorization will be limited to furnishing of oxygen Itself, and will not Include authority to furnish reduction valve, tubing, mask, or other accessory equipment needed to administer oxygen. Payment will not be made to private pharmacies or suppliers of drugs, medicines, or oxygen, except when procurement has been properly authorized. In addition, veterans will not be reimbursed for prescriptions they pay for with their own funds. Further Information on veterans benefits may be obtain ed by contacting Edward M.
