Word placement is important In conversation and In our correspondence. It is also important in our economic life. For instance, where a word is placed in a label can make a tremendous difference in the satisfaction you get from a purchase. This Is particularly true in the case of food labels. Federal Food and Drug Administration regulations require that ingredients of processed foods be listed in order of preponderance .. the ingredient which is larger in quantity first and that with the smallest amount last. Why is this so important in our economic life? How does this affect our eating satisfaction so much? Let’s use two food items with meat in them as examples.
