Ambulance Fund:
The sum of $2549.09 has been reached in the drive fbr the"
fp>rchase of a new ambulance or the Rappahannock Rescue Squad. The response to the need has been good and is greatly appreciated. It is hoped that the goal will be reached early in the new year. Contributions from the following are acknowledged: Miss Doris Burke, Sperryville Volunteer Fire Company, A. H.' Buckner, Jr., Robert Estes, Clarence Wallace, Clore Funeral Home, Mr. and Mrs. John Williams, Mrs. D. D. Hudson, and Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Cosden.
School Properties
Sold Auction
Two school properties of Rappahannock County which have not been used for several years were sold at public auction Saturday morning. The Forest Grove School and lot containing 2.57 acres located near Viewtown was purchased by Roger Batchelder of Alexandria and Rappahannock for $4,000. The W. A. Russell Graded School and lot contaii> ing 1.85 acres near Flint Hill was bought by Col. Earl Holmes of Flint Hill for $3,200. The sale of these properties is subject to approval of the Rappahannock County Circuit Court.
