Lions Give Check to
State Eye Bank
j At the regular meeting of the Rappahannock Lions Club 6n Wednesday, 14 December, 1966, the Club was addressed on the function, methods, Operation, and success of the Old Dominion Eye bank of Richmond, Virginia, a project supported mainly by the efforts of the Lions Clubs of Northern Virginia. The speaker, Lion Ted Rosenthal of Del Ray, Virginia, the ^District Eye Bank Chairman for this District, not only praised the Rappahannock Club for its efforts in eye conservation but thanked them for the check presented to the Eye Bank through him in the amount of $170.00 raised through- the Clubfe annual sales of brooms, fruit cakes, applet cider, etc.
Additional money raised by the Club has been retained for use in its program of the last nine years of providing eyeglasses for the needy children of Rappahannock County.
