l&ftgth gowns were of emerald preen velvet with matching headpieces like that of the honor attendant. Their flowers were nosegays of peppermint carnations with red streamers. Miss Janet Dodson, sister of the bridegroom, was flower girl. Larry Wayland of Arlington acted as best man and ushers were Gene Dodson and Ronald Dodson of Viewtown, brothers of the bridegroom. A reception was held in the social room of the church. Mrs. Calvin Bell, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake. Presiding at the punch bowl were Vivian Gilliam, Page Eve ns on and Brenda Pearson and Miss Margaret Ann Lantz was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Davis chose for her daughter's wedding a dress of gold wool with brown accessories and a corsage of white carnations. The bridegroom’s mother wore a blue brocade dress with black accessories. Her flowers were also white carnations. When the couple left for a southern wedding trip, the bride wore an A-line dress of pink wool with black accessories and the orchid from, her bridal bouquet. Upon their return they will make their home in Viewtown. Pre-nuptial parties given in honor of the bride were a linen shower given by Mrs. Calvin Bell of Staunton; a miscellaneous shower given by Mrs. Dorothy Robinson and Mrs. Lucille Turnmeyer of Front Royal; and Miss Carol Baumgardner and Miss Patsy Brooke of Front Royal also entertained with a miscellaneous shower.
