Hosts 6th Grade
The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company recently played host to Mrs. Sally Kidd's 6th grade elemeittary class. Visiting the community dial office at Crlglersville, the youngsters spent over an hour learning how telephone calls are passed from one telephone to another by means of C & P's modern switching equipment. Pictured above, Mrs. Kidd and her students observe Mr. A. T. Reed, area manager for C & P, demonstrate his company's latest service offering the modern "Trimline* telephone. The unique trimline telephone features a transmitter, receiver, an illuminated dial, and a feature that allows the user to get dial tone back all in one unit that fits neatly in the palm of your hand. After the informative tour the students enjoyed refreshments and engaged in a question and answer period. Mr. Richard T. Noonan, C & P Central Office foreman and Mrs. Betty Powers, C & P's good telephone usage school representative also were 01 hand to assist in the program. As a momento of the occasion] Mt.
