Dear Editor:
I wish to commend the Amiss ville Rescue Squad on the effi cient service which it renders the community and surrounding area. Not until you need its service, do you realize the efficient performance of this volunteer organization. My initial bid for aid at 4 a.m. January 1 was aqsw ered on the second ring of the phone by Mrs. Charlotte Scott who sounded the alarm Only a sensitive ear and fleet foot could do so well as such an early hour. With her alert ness began rapid response for rescue assistance. The calm, efficient manner in which an acute situation was handled by Rescue Squad Captain Bobby Carter and volunteer members was admirable, and his kindness e> tended beyond the call of duty It is with sincerity that I express my profound gratitude to this able group which rendered aid that, who knows may have saved a life.
