Lawrence E. Cabell

Lawrence E. Cabell has assumed the duties of Assistant District Forester, 'Virginia Division of Forestry, effective January 1, 1967. According to District Forester, D. G. Wilfong, Jr., Cabell will replace Wayne L. McBee who will assume his duties as Nursery Superintendent for the new Division of Forestry Nursery in Augusta County. Cabell will be in charge of forest fire control for the six teen-county Piedmont District.

A native of West Virginia, Cabell graduated from West Virginia University in 1959 and was employed by the Virginia Division of Forestry in Charlottesville for three years. He was then transferred to Louisa as sub-district forester where he has worked for the past five years. Cabell served four years with the U. S. Air Force, three of which were spent in England, where he met and married the former Joan Hargreaves of Burnley in Lan cashire County. The couple, along with their seven year old daughter Donna, plan to reside in Charlottesville.
