To the Editor:
I have listened with interes to the many comments anc criticisms in regard to tht professional carnival Iasi week sponsored by the Washington Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Squad. I amv.sure the officers made the decision in good faith due to t-he lack of local workers and local support. A good parade and local carnival requires untold organization and support. Now would be the time to start planning for next year's parade and local carnival or to decide on an alternate means of fund raising. I for one would like to congratulate the people who persevere in their efforts for the benefit of the community in a climate of apathy.
