even though we want to have lighter meals we still need to include generous amounts of our basic food groups - milk bread and cereal, fruits and vegetables, and meat and proteins. To keep cooler, we need to remember not to cut down on these groups but instead to eliminate dishes that include fat in all forms, rich cream mixtures, starches and sugars as these are our main heat producers and if we’re not very active these cause us to be uncomfortable during hot weather.

* * * Eighty-seven 4-H’ers and adults were early risers Wed nesday morning as we assembled at 6:45 a.m. to depart for our 4-H educational tour to Washington, D.C. and^surroundir.g areas.
