More than 170 senior 4-H Club members, adult volunteer leaders, Extension Agents, and instructors attended State 4-H Conservation Camp at Camp Farrar, Virginia Beach, July 17-22, 1967. Extension Agents selected top 4-H Club members to participate in the program which emphasized instruction in forestry, wildlife, soil and water conservation, entomology and social science. The classes were taught by professional workers from VPI and from the U. S. Soil Conservation Service, and other professional organi z a t i o n s. The instructors provided training important to an increased
appreciation and understanding for natural r e s our ce s. Wise and intelligent use of our resources was emphasized.
Susan Dodson, Roger Co*dani and I were lucky enough to go from Rappahannock. This was the second year for Roger and me. Mr. Pratt, our new Assistant Agent, was in charge of the bus from the Northern District.
