Single Vehicle Cashes
Two single-vehicle traffic crashes occurred during the week-end according to local troopers. William Gore Johnson of Woodville was involved in one early Friday morning on*Route 522 a mile west of Boston. He was operating a 61 Ford Falcon owned by his father William B. Johnson. He ran off the left of the highway and turned over, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin, who also stated that Johnson said he swerved to avoid striking a dog on the road. Damage was estimated at $500. There was no personal injury and Johnson was charged with failing to maintain control of his vehicle.
