Washington Elementary Teachers Feted with Tea
The Washington Elementary School P.T.A. is having a tea for faculty and parents on Monday, August 28 at 2:30 at the school. Parents are urged to come meet the new teachers and greet the returning ones.
Single-Vehicle Crash Near Amissville
Sp/E-5 Dan Richard Smith of Amissville, operating a 62 Ford convertible, was involved in a single vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Route 211 four miles west of Amissville. Smith lost control of the vehicle and ran off the right of the road and through a fence on the property of Levi Atkins, according to Trooper J. B. Willis. He was charged with reckless driving. There were no serious injuries to Smith or any of the six passengers in the car.
