Teachers Conference

Scheduled Tomorrow

A Conference of instructors of Warren and Rappahannock Counties is scheduled for Friday, August 25 at the E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School in Front Royal. The conference is held each year prior to the opening of schools which is August 29 for the 67-68 session. Superintendent O. A, Norton will open and preside at the meeting and the devotional will be conducted by the Rev. J. Robert Woodside, pastor of Marlow Heights Baptist Church. Teachers who are new in the school division will be introduced by Robert G. Leonard, Jr., Director of Instruction for the counties. Mr. Leonard will also introduce the speaker, Dr. John Edward Petty, Chairman of the Department of Education, Lynchburg College, who will address the group on “Human Relations in Education." A morning break with refreshments provided by the Social Committee of the Warren County Education Association will follow the speaker and then the teachers will divide into discussion groups. At the conclusion of the discussion period, all will assemble in the auditorium for a question and answer session with Mr. Leonard presiding, then adjourn for lunch. 1 The Rappahannock County Ed-i ucation Association and the | Warren County Education As-i sociation will hold separate meetings in the afternoon and then adjourn at 3:15.
