Traffic Mishaps

Mrs. Honors Agnes Dansby ol Flint Hill was not injured when she over turned on Route 211 just west of Amissville Saturday morning. Her 63 Chevrolet wa£ extensively damaged. Mrs. Dansby lost control of hei vehicle, ran off the right of the highway and turned over, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. A hit and run collision occurred at about the same location Saturday evening. Trooper J. B. Willis reported Pablo Enrique Garcia of Cheverly, Md. operating a 65 Volkswagen was struck by a 57 Plymouth bearing Maryland tags. Tlie driver did not stop at the scene of the crash.

A single-vehicle crash occurred Saturday night and immediately afterwards another car crashed into the first auto. This collision was on Route 211 east ol Washington about 11:30 p.m. William Lewis Dodson of Sperryville operating a 66 Plymouth hardtop ran off the right of the road and up an embankment. The car overturned striking a tree and came to rest partially in the highway, according to Trooper Willis.

Frank Manuel of Leesburg, Fla. operating a 63 Ford struck the Dodson car. Manuel sustained a lacerated lip and Ernest Charles McClennon of Hint Hill received a lacerated forehead. Dodson had a lacerated |eft leg. He was charged with reckless driving.

Very early Sunday morning another single-car crash occurred about 2 miles east of Sperryville on Route 211. Russell M. Atkins was operating a 68 Mustang owned by Charles Ashby Atkins, both with Winter Haven, Fla. addresses, when it crashed. According to the driver, as he topped a hill another vehicle was stopped on the highway and when he applied his brakes he skidded and struck a bank. Damage was estimated at $1,000 by Trooper Willis.
