The next day, Sept. 17th, was a day of leisure. Some of us needed it for personal preservation. Ihe guide had just scared us by telling us all of our luggage would be inspected before we left the airport on the next day. He said that regardless if one said he was a preacher the bags would be searched. I learned by reading, this was California’s desire rather than Hawaiis. 1 would love to have gone to the “Bishop’s Museum” which was not on our tour but we could have gone this day, but for preparing to leave which we did the next morning. We were taken to the Honolulu airport. Here with three dthers I was getting a United plane for San Francisco. I had my bags opened for inspection - the officer came by and put his hand on the top of the clothes of the large bag and closed it and placed the seal on without touching the little bag. Perhaps he thought if he went through those clo hes no other passenger behind me would get their plane! My plane left one half hour earlier than the other
