How can you learn what your forage “Feed Power” is?
It’s simple and all for free.
First you see your Extension Agent and get the materials you need for each forage sample; a plastic bag, a waterproof mailing bag, sheets in triplicate to fill out on each sample. Also, a hay sampling tool.
What to Sample? Each lot of forage — or cutting made within 10 day intervals of same kind of hay or hay mixture fed as hay or as silage and each kind of grain silage.
