I TTie SCA ran over its goal of $1500 in the Magazine Campaign. < Mr. Wingfield said that he would like to commend the students on the excellent job. Mrs. Pomeroy’s Senior girls homeroom was tops with $351.83. Also the Seniors defeated all other classes with their total sales of $417.75. Janet Hackley was high salesman for the campaign with $79.19. Hie daily high salesmen were Lizzie Eastham, Brenda Hackley, Janet Hackley and Geraldine Baldwin.
Cil Davis won the grand prize drawing. Brenda Hackley won $5.00 for being the homeroom representative with most sellers on her list.
Photographs for the annual were taken October 16. Also report cards came out on the same day as you can tell by some of the expressions on students’ faces.
The Mysterious Person for last week was Cheryl Taylor. Instead of a mysterious person I’ll interview two seniors a week and try to give a personality sketch of each. This week’s Seniors are Charlotte Foster and Stewart Hawkins.
When asked what was her favorite song Charlotte answered “By the Time I get to Phoenix”. Her favorite musical group is Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. Her favorite expression is “I can’t wait till Friday night” and her major interest is in sports.
When asked the question, “What do you think adults misunderstand about teenagers the most?” she replied “That they have a life of their own to live.” Charlotte’s philosophy for life is “Be kind and honest to all around you, but be true to yourself because you have to live with your conscience.”
Stewart’s favorite song is “No Milk Today” and his favorite group is Herman’s Hermits. His favorite expression is “Hello Pretty” and his major interest is “girl-watching” Stewart’s future plans are to attend college and enter the law enforcement field. When asked the question, “What do adults misunderstand about teenagers the most,” he answered “What they do on Saturday nights. Stewart’s philosopy on life is “Strive to increase your abilities and try to use the abilities you already have in the best possible way.”
