Forest Grove Supper
A country ham and fried chicken dinner will be served Friday, May 30, at the old Forest Grove School house for the benefit of Forest Grove Baptist Church. The dinner begins at 5 p.m. and is $1 for children and $1.75 for adults. All food will be home cooked and will include cornbread, biscuits and assorted pies, vegetables and drinks. The public is cordially invited to attend.
Rummage Sales Continue
The Rummage Sales are in progress in the basement of the Postoffice building at Washington and will continue each Thursday and Friday for the remainder of the month. Sale hours are 9 a m. to 5 p.m. Proceeds are for the benefit of the Washington Fire Company and the Rappahannock Rescue Squad.
Any usable articles which you do not need and would care to contribute to the sale would be appreciated, according to Mrs. W. B. Jenkins, Chairman. If you have a donation to make, please contact her at Washington, Va.
