Several members of his family joined the Rev. W. B. Dennis Sunday in a picnic at the old home place near Castleton. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Beddingfield of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Warren E. Dennis and daughters of Gainesville, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon D. Henderson and children of King George.

Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. McDaniel were Mr. McDaniel’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lester McDaniel and granddaughter Tamie Debbie of Washington, D. C.

Guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Tidier were Mrs. Hazel Allen of Bayonne, N. J., Dr. and Mrs. John J. Casey of Castleton, Mrs. Chester Weaver and James Bennett. Other recent guests of the Tidlers were Mrs. Raymond Moates, Mr. and Mrs. William Perkins and son Bill, all of Alexandria. Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs. Sol Schneider and sons Jim and Joe of Silver Spring, Md., Mr. and Mrs. Newman Scott, Miss Patty Faye Wood and Miss Nancy Crabree, all of Alexandria.

Mr. and Mrs. Cary Thornhill spent three days last week with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thornhill and family of Vienna, and two days with Mr. Thornhill’s sister, Mrs. Claude Schlosser in Washington, D. C.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kennedy and daughter Vicki of Richmond were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Waver Kennedy. Their Sunday guests were Mr. and Mrs. James Minnis and son Chris and Mr. and Mrs. John Coates of Culpeper and Mr. and Mrs. Olney Kennedy.

Mr. and Mrs. James Glover and William Morian of Washington, D. C. spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill and family. Other Sunday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Thornhill and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Butler and daughters of Boston, Miss Kathy O’Hara and Glen Glover of Washington, D. C. Mr. Morian remained for another week’s visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Conner Yates of Griffinsburg were Saturday afternoon visitors of Mrs. Audrey Thornhill and Mrs. Vinda Kilby.

Mr. and Mrs. Stevens E. Butler and children of Manassas were Friday overnight and Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Butler and family.
