Benefit Fun Festival
Friday and Saturday
A two-night Harvest Fun Festival is being staged this Friday and Saturday nights Oct. 3 and 4 for the benefit of the newly organized Sperryville Rescue Squad. The event will be held at the Sperryville carnival grounds and activities will include rides, games, prizes and food.
The Winchester Amusement Company will provide the rides for the carnival midway and in addition to the usual festival fare, there will be lots of homemade cakes and pies available at the food stand. Games of many kinds will attract young and old and good, wholesome entertainment will flourish for the entire family.
Among prizes to be awarded are a 19 inch RCA color television, a Holstein bull calf, transistor radio, old Virginia ham and 25 gallons of gas.
The public is invited and urged to attend and support these volunteers.
