Cigarette manufacturers are required to place a warning on each package of cigarettes. Does it do any good? In Ecclesiastes 7:17 we find this admonition: “Do not be a fool; why should you die before your time?” Playing with guns, becoming prey to habits that impair the health - why hasten your demise? One of the ugliest things I know is a cigarette butt stained with lipstick, or one on the steps of a church - or the pastor’s study.
