At GOP Dinner
‘Vinegar Bend” Mizell, Republican Congressman from North Carolina and former pitching ace for the Saint Louis Cardinals, will be the feature speaker at a Republican fund raising dinner to be held in Front Royal on Tuesday, October 7. Cocktails will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. and dinner will be at 7 p.m. Tickets may be obtained from Bemie Dahlgren, 635-4873, or at the Warren County Republican Headquarters, 635-5088, located at 8A West Main Street in Front Royal.
Noted for his ability to “tell it like it is - country style”. Congressman Mizell started his political career when he was elected Chairman of the Board of Davidson County Supervisors. He recently was elected to Congress and is presently Chairman of the “91st Club”, a committee of newly elected Republican Congressmen. He is a member of the House Committee on Agriculture.
