Isiah Jenkins

Isiah Jenkins, 81, of Culpeper died September 18, 1969 at his residence near Culpeper. He was a retired fanner.

A graveside funeral service was held at Etlan Cemetery Saturday with the Rev. Edward Hawkins officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Neva Coates Jenkins; five sons, William P. of Manai&as, Carson G. of Melbourne, Fla. and Watson, John and Foady Jenkins, all of Culpeper; seven daughters, Mrs. Waver Kennedy of Boston, Va., Mrs. Wallace Broyles of Leon, Mrs. Russell Newman of Haywood, Mrs. George Ford, Brightwood, Mrs. Jean Sowers, Washington, D. C. and Mrs. Jesse Pierce and Mrs. Jesse Jenkins, both of Culpeper; 32 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Jesse and Grover Jenkins, both of Orange.

Clore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Sperryville Methodist Church met with Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wayland on Wednesday night. Attending the meeting were the Rev. Jerry Campbell, Mrs. Catherine Brown, Mrs. F. D. Coffey, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Devers, Nelson Nethers, Mrs. Lee Swindler and Mrs. Polly Eubank and Mrs. Nina B. Brown.

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Manuel of Browntown were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Varner. Mrs. Monia Dodson is a patient in Fredericksburg hospital.

Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Brown and family were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gough and daughter Carla of Stevensburg.

Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers and Allen Lillard were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Guessford of Williamsport, Md.

Mrs. George W. Hawkins and Mrs. C. M. Ramey of Slate Mills accompanied Mrs. C. E. Burke and Mrs. Frank Edmunds of Front Royal to Martinsburg on Friday for a visit with Mrs. G. M. Golden in the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Sullivan.

Mrs. Mary Clater had as her guests Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Roland Clater and daughter, Dana of Warrenton.

Jack Brown and son David of Hamilton were visitors on Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown.

Guests during the weekend of Mrs. Delia Leake were Mrs. Venie Dodson, Mrs. Richard Jenkins and children of Slate Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Jenkins and
